The technology is originally developed at Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, CNRS, Grenoble, and Hydrogen Storage has acquired technologiy rights from CNRS

The Institute for Energy Technology (IFE), Kjeller, Norway has carried our studies in the perion 2020-2022 with the following results:
1.Storing hydrogen as magnesium hydride is very safe compared to compressed or liquid hydrogen
2.Costs using magnesium hydride for storage is comparable to using compressed hydrogen gas
